At an age when most teens are either staying up late, memorizing for exams, or devising ways to meet their crush, a Rs 100 crore empire powered by AI is being built by this Indian American youngster! Ms. Pranali Awasthi.

Pranjali Awasthi was just 15 when she launched her tech startup Dev.AI. Today her firm, which consists of ten employees is valued at a whopping $12 million or Rs. 100 crore! Her firm offers data extraction services to research labs and organizations.

Science In Her Genes

In an interview with Business Insider India, Awasthi credited her father, a computer engineer for her love for technology. She also revealed she had been learning how to code since she was seven.

When she was 13, she started interning for university research labs at Florida International University and worked on machine learning projects along with regular school work.

Start Of Entrepreneurial Journey

In 2021, she was accepted into a highly-selective accelerator programme called Miami Hack Week in lieu of a small share in her future company. “I launched the beta for Delv.AI on Product Hunt, a platform for people to share software for free, during the residency on my birthday – I’d just turned 15. It became the number three product of the day,” she told Business Insider India. She soon received a generous investment, which helped her hire her first engineer.

The startup went on to receive $450K from angel investors. It is currently valued at $12 million.
