Snack & Co. launched their business just four months back and has managed to sell more than 2,000 products and reached a revenue of Rs 80,000 monthly.
We all have that dream of starting our own venture one day, cause jobs aren’t the most stable form of income that we can secure. While, many of are still figuring out all the logistics of our business plans, this 22-year-old girl started her own snack company with her own savings. Pretty cool, right?
Palak Dhand is the founder of Snack & Co. launched her business just four months back and has managed to sell more than 2,000 products and reached a revenue of Rs 80,000 monthly. She told the Better India that, “Starting the business was an accidental happening. I was all set to go to Lancaster University, UK, where I was going to pursue a Master’s degree in marketing when the pandemic hit and all my plans were thwarted.”
Her snack brand caters to amazing healthy snacks like flavoured popcorns, makhana’s and much more. Her personal favourite from Snack & Co. is their caramel popcorn, which some swear by and say, ‘its the best one they’ve eaten ever’.
Instead of pursuing her further education, Palak thought that she would actually take the plunge and start her food business dream as soon as possible, as its been her life long dream to do so.
She told to the Better India, “I worked on research and development in March 2020, and from then till November 2020, when we launched, we worked on the right products, flavours, tie ups with high quality vendors, finalise on packaging, pricing, and all other logistics,”
The brand has now tied up with various vendors across the city and have started to work closely with them. Before launching the brand, Palak also started working on her social media presence and started a show called ‘Blend With Palak’ on YouTube.
With Rs 1 lakh as her initial investment, Palak’s brand is doing fairly well, considering that its only been four months since it has launched. Their makhana (fox nuts) and quinoa chips costs Rs 145 for a 90 gram pack, which is which reasonable in the market.
The brand is currently catering to customers in Delhi NCR and will soon start shipping to other cities like Shillong, Imphal, Mumbai and others as well.
